Accessible healthcare is a framework in which practitioners are actively working towards providing equal health opportunities (especially for marginalized communities).

In order to make healthcare more accessible, we consider and address the potential barriers to health (including physical, mental, environmental, socioeconomic, cultural, and racial aspects of wellness).

Through an anti-oppressive framework, we strive to create a safe space for those who work with us so they can receive the healthcare they deserve.

Check out our Accessible Healthcare Practice Audit Checklist to see what makes a practice accessible.

Naturopathic Doctors Dismantling Racism (NDDR) is a group of Ontario-based NDs committed in doing the work required to dismantle racism and address inequity within the naturopathic profession.

NDDR strives to evolve naturopathic medicine such that all forms of racism and inequity of care due to racial systems are eliminated, in order to provide well-rounded, well-informed, and accessible healthcare to all. We recognize our role not only as healthcare providers but also, as advocates of human rights and social justice. We support naturopathic doctors in their learning and unlearning by providing education that is practical, accessible, and up-to-date, in order to be better able to provide care to marginalized groups.

You can learn more about them here.

The first step to be considered for the database is to fill out an application via google form (which can be accessed here).

Once the application has been reviewed, we will contact the applicant with the next steps if eligible.

Please note that we reserve the right to accept / deny any application based on our evaluation.
